You will get to experience one excellent English vacation by simply enjoying your tour on the major and highlighted tourists sites found in the cities of England. But remember, you need to allot at least two weeks of your vacation in order for you to fully explore the wonders of England; tourist attractions are really vast in the said country.

Exploring the very heart of England, the region of Derbyshire is regarded as the home for magnificent stone circles, rugged moors, and excellent Spa towns. You can also explore the outstanding country homes, including the most stately country house in Britain called as Chatsworth. If you get to tour the house, you will surely be amazed of its fine structures, palatial decorations, cascades, and sunken gardens. If you appreciate great architectural wonders, then it is truly a must for you to visit such famous English country home.

Still unchanged since the time of famous painter, Constable, the East of Anglia is still a beautiful English region with all the fantastic churches and windmills scattered in the area. You should also try to visit the small city of Ely, wherein an enormous cathedral with octagon lantern is found. Also, the University City of Cambridge is situated in the area, along its magnificent river, fascinating architectural styles, and fine-looking lawns.

If you haven't been to Wales, then you should plan for a vacation or tour in that country and do not forget to visit Snowdonia. Cute name for a place in the European continent huh? But such place is the among the most hauntingly and most beautiful vacation destination in Europe. I'm sure, tourists and visitors will be captivated with Snowdonia's legacy for being a land of many opportunities for discovery, adventure, and activity.

Among the most beautiful spot in Snowdonia Wales is the Glynllifon Park. Legend says that the place was not known to the world for many centuries until year 1639. Now acknowledged as the one of the Grade 1 listed Gardens in Gwynedd, Glynllifon Park has a diverse sets of exotic plants and trees that were planted over the past few years. If you visit the park, go for a leisurely stroll through the fascinating gardens and also explore the place's tree selections.

Once regarded as Wales'best kept attraction, Glynllifon is now transformed as a perfect place to know the crafts of Wales. At the place's craft centre, a gallery and a shop of various design workshops and crafts are featured. Browse through the antique collections and you will be tempted to purchase one of the place's priceless art collection. On the other hand, Glynllifon also has a cafe called as Black Cat Cafe, wherein you can enjoy a refreshing sets of drinks and delectable light European meals.

Shaped by the country's temperate climate, British cuisine includes the variety of culinary specialties of its neighboring states, as well as the importing of ingredients and ideas from some Western and Eastern countries. There's nothing new with such culinary description, since I already encountered similar cuisine descriptions from other countries. I also noticed that the British
quickly adopted the Americans' notion for fast foods. However, I believe Britain is still adapting and and absorbing culinary ideas from other nations worldwide.

The English folks are noted for their delicious and delicate Yorkshire pudding, that is usually made from milk, flour, and eggs. An English pudding is like an oven baked batter usually filled with creamy gravy sauce. Unlike other pudding dishes, a Yorkshire Pudding is not regarded as a very popular dessert but as starter meal or part of a major course. However, the unused Yorkshire Pudding can also be served along with ice cream or jam as the meal's dessert.

A mash and pie with liquor parsley is a very common meal in London. Before, an original pie was made out of eels, since they were cheaper than beef products. Fifty years have passed, the eels were replaced with minced beef fillings. Since then, the minced beef became the traditional mash and pie that the Britons are proud of. Of course, the traditional mash and pie is not complete without its all-time favorite sauce called liquor, whicht has a funny green shade, and its surely non-alcoholic.

Now wouldn't a luxurious sight-seeing venture through Britain on a magnificent cruise ship be worth a damn leg as much as the other one? If you think the scenery Britain has could be viewed in front of your modern digital TV, go get a life, or at least maybe even two, for that matter! You see, the Hebridean Princess is a luxurious cruise ship that has ammenities fit for royalty. Plus, since it cruises through Britain's scenic spots in the time of the year where the air is both fresh and romantic, you'll definitely think twice of spending a month's worth of wages on nothing more than this dream cruise.
Wednesday, May 2. 2007
My idea of a dream cruise through Britain is on the equally dreamy Hebridean Princess. This luxury ship has a lot of royal furnishings to boot, not to mention culinary services that could rival the best French restaurants. But despite of its royal ammenities, this cruise ship has a sort of homely aura that those old cowboy steakhouses have. But it also has a very comfortable lounge, a quiet library, and a dining area with lots of wood carvings along with other old wood antiquities. Plus, it also has a sight-seeing lounge so as to see the elegance of Britain's coastlines rather luxuriously.
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
The Hebridean Princess trip consists mainly of a cruise through Britain's remote areas. This is because the trip promotes casual sight-seeing on the docks as much as out of it. Now if the ship does docks itself, you could then stroll rather luxuriously on the grassy plains of the unseen countryside of Britain. The trip is a week-long one, and it usually cruises from May to late November. Plus, the places it docks are usually open only for private sight-seers, and this is because the spots mostly have castles and other historical buildings.

This modern digital age certainly has much more surprises up its sleeve than what most of us expect it to have. We have even gone from conquering space to tapping the thread of life. Yes, as more and more geneticists are making breakthroughs in genetics, such innovations are either negatively distorting, or positively changing, the natural system of life on this planet. With this, the British government is planning to use specific barcoding techniques on the DNA sequence of genetically-modified organisms, or GMOs.
Sunday, April 29. 2007
GM food, or genetically-modified food types, are now a means to produce healthier and bigger livestock and vegetation. But most people just don't want to try their hands out on these. Some say these could cause cancer, or at least some other deadly disease, while others think that these are better than hunger taking its toll on human lives. But the British government has expressed its concern on giving the people the right to choose which food types they would want to eat. They are now planning to use specific genetic technology to integrate a barcoding system on genetically-modified organisms that are used as food.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
Barcoding GMOs would eventually lead to a larger scope for consumer choices. This would separate those people who just don't have the knack for tampered food types from those who would evidently eat anything that came out from tin cans or food laboratories. This technique would even create a system which would functionally prevent counterfeiting. But going back to food, these GMOs have been carefully observed and studied to have no long-term, or short-term, effects whatsoever on the human system. Or at least, that's what they want us to believe.

In these modern times, we usually see just how much trouble we could cause each other. For instance, we have developed fast information access points, and we use it not only for information access, but for information robberies as well! We have also developed P2P technology for faster and easier file sharing ventures, but most of the damn users of P2P networks share virus-infected files instead of music and videos! With new tools and drugs, even street crimes are increasing. Yes, and it has reached also both Wales and England, where you probably least expect something such as street muggings and stuff could actually be done, you know.
Thursday, April 26. 2007
Wales and England are considered as welfare states. This means that in these parts of the planet, poverty is not known. So how could street crimes flourish on a place where the people don't know anything about getting hungry and all? But recent reports have shown that at least a 16% increase on robberies and other street crimes have been felt on the cities of Wales and England. This could probably be caused by the widespread use of illegal substances, or because more and more guns are available from the black market. Worse, it could even be caused by a damn combination of both stuff, you know.
Wednesday, April 25. 2007
With this, the chances of dying on the beautiful streets of Wales and England have increased, too. Tourists must not be troubled with this since there are now quite a few adjustments made by the British government. Police visibility has also increased in the parts where most street crimes happen. But, a notable increase on gun use on street crimes was also reported. About a 10% increase was seen on crimes where guns were used. This is very troubling, indeed, and I do hope the British government solves this problem as soon as possible.

Fast information access is either among the best innovations of this modern age, or the worst it has ever come up with. For instance, because Britain's Natural History Museum is planning to launch an electronic guide to the actual richness of its wildlife on the internet, people could then have a glimpse of a variety of British wildlife without leaving the comfort of their homes. But it would also prevent the children from experiencing first-hand British's animal and plant life! Imagine yourself as a kid growing up with a shitty monitor in front of you, showing damn pictures and videos of real animals and plants. Kinda sucks, doesn't it?
Monday, April 23. 2007
Britain's Natural History Museum is now working on a digital brochure of its animal and plant life. The museum's officials have stated that they will launch it sometime this November. The digital access point, dubbed as the Nature Navigator, houses a lot of information on insects, plants, mammals, and even aquatic creatures of British wilderness. It could be accessed via the internet, promising a faster means of informing the people about British wildlife, as well as educating the children in modern ways and means. Not only that, but in entertaining ways as well.
Sunday, April 22. 2007
But, I think the actual thing is better than damn digital images of British wildlife. Well, it is generally an advantage for those who can't afford to go there or something, you know. But this would evidently reduce a kid's interest on going there and actually experiencing the real thing! I have learned from the years I have spent on this planet that experience is the best teacher. But now I'm rather confused about this: a digital experience, or an actual one? The better option from this modern set of choices for experiencing things, I mean.
Saturday, April 21. 2007
We all have heard that marijuana can be used to treat cancer patients, you know. But I think its use in treating these people is more for psychological wellness than the actual cure. Hey, those dope slackers think this could very well lead to the legalization of the damn substance! What's even more interesting is that there's this certain iced tea with a dose of marijuana available in British food shops! In this modern age of handheld digital devices, people are actually starting to think of tolerating more alternative lifestyles than before. In this modern information age, what next would we expect from these jokers! A heroin cake, perhaps?
Friday, April 20. 2007
I think those damn junkies have thought of mixing marijuana and tea together long before cocaine was marketed on the streets of New York. But the Swiss producers of this iced tea with marijuana is expecting global distribution of their killer product! Under the name C-Ice Swiss Cannabis Ice Tea, this marijuana-induced drink contains 5%, more or less, of cannabis flower syrup, plus a minimal dose of the psychoactive substance found in marijuana, which is THC. If the Swiss distributors would have put in a bit more of this substance, this product of theirs would have been classified under the regulated drugs category. It is now available in British shops, as well as in most countries in Scandinavia.

If there's one thing you wouldn't expect from a British museum, it must be a large-assed aquatic creature the size of about 10 elephants or so. I think this is because you just don't have enough open waters out in Britain to house a whale, you know. But in London, the Natural History Museum has just expressed its intention to reconstruct the skeletal remains of Wilma the whale, all 19 feet of it. So I think a good fish treat is out of the question once you see this whale on public display, isn't it?
This whale is said to have rammed up the river Thames, and died on the spot. A man from the Natural History Museum of London named Richard Sabin has told reporters that the museum needs Wilma the whale because it still does not have an actual northern bottlenose in its confines. He also stated that this would be good for biologists who would want to do some research on the nature of these whales. DNA samples were also taken from the remains of Wilma the whale so as to undergo diagnosis on the actual cause, or causes, of its death. An autopsy has also been made, but scientists back in London who are working on the case have stated that the entire story of Wilma the whale's death would be provided to the general public after the DNA diagnosis. I just hope they have the same technology back in New York for all those murders and all, you know.
